2011

  • Reporting on W-2’s – Requires employers to include on W-2’s the aggregate cost of employer-sponsored health benefits
  • Over the Counter drug exclusions under HRA’s, HSA’s, FSA’s and MSA’s

2013

  • Medical Expense Tax Deduction Limitation – un-reimbursed medical expenses would be increased from 7.5% of AGI to 10% of AGI for regular tax purposes. The increase would be waived for individuals 65 and older for tax years 2013 – 2016
  • Employers required to provide notice to employees informing them of the Health Insurance Exchange.

2014

  • All citizens and legal residents will be required to purchase health coverage or face a penalty of $95 or 1% of their income, whichever is greater, and increasing to $695 or 2.5% of income by 2016
  • Pre Existing Conditions will be prohibited in all markets.
  • Medicare Tax increase
  • Medicare Part D rebate
